What's Local?

Knowing what is available to you, where it is located and what you need to do will ultimately result in the ability to make informed, sustainable choices. However, being informed is only the first important step. It is equally as important to take action and make use of the resources available to you.

In this section, you can browse local opportunities and resources for sustainable living practices.

Singleton Council facilitates a range of these types of opportunities at various Council facilities, such as:

  • borrowing at the library (literature, digital media and technologies, toys and even cake tins!)
  • reuse and recycling at the Waste Management Facility (Community Recycling Centre and the Burragan Recycle Shop)

There are also local businesses that through their products, services and initiative provide further opportunities. You can find them in our Zero Waste Map below.
