Planning an Event
If you're planning an event in Singleton, here is some information to help you get started.
Each year, Singleton hosts a diverse and vibrant range of events from sporting events, to food and wine festivals, markets, cultural showcases and business events. Singleton Council is a proud supporter of events, and recognises their important role in building social capital, encouraging community participation and enhancing tourism opportunities. Singleton has a wide variety of venues both indoor and outdoor where you can hold events.
If you’re an event organiser looking to bring your event to our area, we want to hear from you. Singleton Council provides a one-stop shop for event application approvals, providing a seamless and efficient process for event organisers.
Council manages all event applications and enquiries and can provide assistance to event organisers to ensure safe and successful events are held in Singleton.
If you would like to hold an event on Council owned or managed land, you are required to complete an event application form.
To access the form and complete it online, you will need to log in or create an account via our online services portal.
Council has prepared a how to guide to assist customers in submitting their application.
For all event enquiries, please email Singleton Council.
Council's Event Team will assess your application and contact you to discuss your application and any further information that may be required.
Please allow adequate time for the assessment of your application, we recommend you submit the form at least 6 weeks prior to your event.
For large scale, high impact events, we recommend this application is submitted at least 3 months prior to your event.
Event administration and site hire fees apply. Council's Events Team will provide you with a quote upon completion of the event assessment for your application.
Event fees can be found in Council's Fees and Charges schedule.
- Final Approval
The final step in the event approval process is the issue of your event licence and invoice. We will ask you to read and sign your event licence which outlines your responsibility as the event organiser.
By working with event organisers, Council can continue to ensure the community has access to a diverse range of safe, accessible, well-managed and well-promoted events across the Singleton shire.
