COVID-19 + ORDINARY COUNCIL MEETINGS
Council’s Ordinary Meetings will proceed at 5.30pm as scheduled. However, consistent with the messaging from the NSW Government and in the interests of public health, the meetings are conducted on line.
Most Councillors will “attend” and participate in the Meeting via an audio-visual link and members of the public will not be permitted to attend the Council Chambers.
Members of the public who wish to address Council during public forum about items on the Meeting agenda should send their typed, written address via email to Council’s Administration staff at E email@example.com or attach it to their speakers request. Staff attending the Meeting will read your submission to Council at the appropriate time.
Written addresses for public forum are to be received by Council no later than midday, on the day of the Meeting. Please note that the time limit of five minutes per address still applies so please ensure your written submission meets this criteria.
The meetings will continue to be live-streamed, however, for the period during which the meetings will be conducted on line, different technology is being utilised for the live-streaming process, so the view of the meeting will be a little different to what it has been previously. The live-stream will be viewable via the usual link.
ORDINARY COUNCIL MEETINGS
Singleton Council meets on the third Monday of every month immediately after the Public Forum at 5.30pm in the Council Chambers at Singleton Council, located at the corner of Civic Avenue and Queen Street, Singleton.
Council Meetings are the mechanism through which our elected Councillors make decisions regarding policies and programs of Council to meet the needs of the Singleton Community. Decisions of Council can only be made by resolution at a properly convened meeting.
Public forums are held from 5.30pm in the Council Chambers at Singleton Council with the Council Meeting commencing immediately after. Council holds a public forum prior to each Council Meeting, if required, for the purpose of hearing oral submissions from members of the public on items of business to be considered at the meeting.
Public Forum is not part of the official Council Meeting and therefore not part of the Webcast.
The webcast commences with the Council Meeting at the completion of Public Forum. There may be a delay of up to one hour depending on the number of speakers and questions.
The quality of the webcast will depend on your PCs memory and internet connection bandwidth. Please be patient when loading a video as depending on your internet connection it can take time to start playing. To view the webcast, click on the tile below.
