Singleton Sports Council Grants
Singleton Sports Council offers three grant schemes which are designed to assist and support sport within the community.
SPORTS IMPROVEMENT FUND GRANT
This grant is offered to members of the Sports Council to assist in programs and projects that support their sport. To be eligible, sporting groups must be affiliated with Sports Council, attend meetings and be up-to-date with their membership fees.
SPORTING FACILITY $ FOR $ GRANT
Council recognises the important contribution sporting organisation make in developing and maintaining programs and facilities in the Singleton community. The dollar-for-dollar grant is funded by Singleton Council and is to help maintain and improve sporting facilities. As the name suggests it is funded by 50% from Council and 50% from sporting group.
Local sporting groups can now apply for their share in over $33,000 for local sporting projects via round two of Singleton Council’s dollar-for-dollar sport grant funding program.
In 2019/ 20, $100,000 was made available for local sporting groups, with $66,092 allocated in round one in September last year.
The Singleton sport grants program seeks to achieve Council’s objective of “Singleton is a creative, vibrant, inclusive, safe and health community” by providing financial support to eligible organisations for projects. Funding can be used to purchase small items of equipment, minor repair work or upgrades, hosting events or to assist in obtaining larger grants.
The grant is only available to affiliates of the Singleton Sports Council. An affiliation application form is available for download here. The affiliation fee is $50.
Applications for the Singleton Sport grants close on 28 March 2020.
ATHLETES AND OFFICIALS GRANTS SCHEME
Designed to help athletes and officials who have achieved international representation to assist with expenses associated with travel.
