Council is committed to working with the Singleton community to preserve valuable water resources, providing a number of resources and actively facilitates water saving initiatives which promote water, sewer and associated efficiencies.
Council is a proud supporter of Smart Water Advice and have partnered with Smart Approved WaterMark to provide a range of tips and resources to help you save water. It's easier than you think, remember a little goes a long way!
WELCOME TO OUR NEW BLUE HOUSE

SAVING WATER IN THE HOUSE
We use a huge amount of water inside the home from washing ourselves, our clothes, brushing our teeth, flushing toilets and cooking. The thumbnails below identify ways to reduce water use in your home, from use of water efficient technologies to making some small changes in the way we do things.
SAVING WATER IN THE GARDEN AND YARD
Outdoor water use accounts for 25 to 50% of the average Aussie homes water use and it the area where most of this valuable resource is wasted. It is worth considering reducing the amount of water used in the garden, collecting rainwater and using greywater from inside the house where you can. With a bit of planning and use of new and improved water saving technology you can have an attractive garden and yard and still be water wise.
