Council Business Support Initiatives
COVID-19, the bushfires and drought has had a massive impact on our local business community. To support our local businesses at this time, Singleton Council has developed a Community Support Package with a number of initiatives to help our businesses with relief and to rebuild.
Working in partnership with the Singleton Business Chamber, Singleton Council will be rolling out a number of programs over the coming months, including additional grant funding and promotional programs to support local shopping and attract regional visitors back to the area.
SINGLETON COUNCIL INITIATIVES
|$2,000-$10,000 BUSINESS RELIEF AND REBUILD GRANT FUNDING||SPEND IN SINGLETON GIFT CARD PROGRAM||$250 PRELOADED GIFT CARDS FOR BUSINESS TO SUPPORT BUSINESS|
Singleton Council, supported by BHP Vital Resources Funding has developed a Business Relief and Rebuild Grant to fill funding gaps for local businesses who have not been eligible for Government stimulus packages.
Businesses will be able to apply for grants from $2,000 to $10,000 to support projects that aid the relief and rebuild

The Business Relief and Rebuild Grant Fund will be for businesses that may not have been eligible for other government funding, and is intended to fill the gaps where essential businesses projects are needed to ensure continuity during the recovery and re-build phases.
The Spend in Singleton gift card program is about to get a major boost, with a campaign aimed at promoting local shopping in Singleton.
Working with the Singleton Business Chamber and local businesses, Singleton Council will be supporting this important shop local initiative with a social media campaign featuring the faces of our local businesses.

A new program of preloaded Spend in Singleton Gift Cards for local businesses is currently being developed for launch in Mid June.
$100,000 has been allocated to this program, which will see local businesses able to apply for preloaded Spend in Singleton Gift Cards that businesses can use for essentials with other local businesses.
Watch out for this new business support program later in June, on the Council and Singleton Business Chamber facebook pages.
Thank you to all local businesses that took part in the Business survey related to the impact of COVID-19 on our economy in May 2020. The results are helping further inform Council’s response and support for relief and rebuilding programs for our local businesses. An update on the results and further programs will be published in the next few weeks.
